Motivations: The new edition is produced for the benefit of industry, integrating the additional elements for operation range extension, and as such making the text better readable than with a separate amendment. Furthermore, this is beneficial for consistent alignment with the twin text published by ITU-T.
Objectives: Support for new SEI messages and additional operational levels are important in both consumer and professional applications.
