What is MPEG Systems?

MPEG Systems is the part of the MPEG standard specifying how to multiplex MPEG Video and Audio bitstreams in a single stream. An MPEG Systems stream contains the proper timing information so that MPEG players (or decoders) can play back the Video and the Audio properly synchronized.
